Mr. Clarence "Pee-Wee" Barnes, age 64, of 411 Lillian Street, Absecon, NJ, and formerly of Wilson, NC, transitioned from labor to reward, Thursday, August 1, 2013, in New Jersey.

Clarence Barnes was the son of the late Eddie Diggins and Beulah Harris Diggins.

A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Brown Chapel Church, 517 Hadley St., Wilson, NC. Bishop Willie Thomas will officiate. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane St. Ext.

Mr. Barnes was educated in the Wilson Public School System. He worked various jobs in New Jersey and retired from Newark Beth Israel Medical Center as a self-contractor.

"Pee-Wee" accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was saved in 2008 at St. Paul "Life Center" U.F.W. Baptist Church , Newark, NJ under the leadership of Bishop Hilton Rawls, Sr.

Precious memories are shared by three sons: Terry T. Barnes, Sr., (Madinah) of Abecon, NJ, Kyle Barnes, Sr., of Somers Point, NJ, and Shawn Dillion of New Milford, NJ; seven grandchildren: Jasmine S. Barnes, Imani S. Barnes, Terri K. Barnes, Terry T. Barnes, Jr., Kyle F. Barnes, Jr., Chyna T. Barnes and Mahki Khaleek Barnes; one great-grandson: Amid Rasheed Haines; three sisters: Mrs. Etta Mae Hines of Willingboro, NJ, Mrs. Ethel "Punkin" Cooper of Brooklyn, NY, and Ms. Annie "Curley" Barnes of Wilson, NC; two brothers: Mr. Eddie "Red" Barnes and Mr. James "Biscuit" Barnes both of Wilson, NC; his ex-wife: Runnette Barnes, who was the mother of his children; his long-time companion: Mary Frances Fauntroy of the home; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A public viewing will take place Friday from 3-8pm with the family present from 8:15-9:15pm at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 726 Tarboro St. SW., Wilson.
